Opinions on Secret Level Mega Man?

If I have to be completely honest, I cannot say I have any real excitement for this iteration. Most of my past experiences with any film-based, streaming-service-based adaptation for any video games have not been good ones. And while creative freedom to make changes to a new adaptation is one thing, what I've come across so far feel like they miss the "core" of the source material, so it's as though I am not watching something from said series but something completely different with the same name.

Could I be too hard on a simple teaser? Maybe. But the last time I had huge hopes for something I liked, the people behind it seemed to think their changes were fixing problems that didn't exist.

Also I think that kid that may be the Mega Man in question looks like Lionsgate Pinocchio. It's giving too much "corporate-realistic" cartoon style that I'm not fond of.

Cas and hunger and love and how he cannot differentiate except because when he was under Famine influence, the body prevailed (hunger as in food), but the confused mind/grace wanted reciprocation/concordance (hunger as in desire— him asking Dean whether he’s affected).

It’s not even dominance (‘you should show me some respect’ vs Godstiel who doesn’t seem to care for Dean on his knees). He’s infinite so it only stands to reason that he’d try to consume, but he’s not a leviathan. He feels hunger, but he won’t even try to bite.

He always seem so sorrowful until he makes it clear that he is a warrior, that he can destroy and kill — but then he’s playing along with the Winchesters.

He has seen most of history, the fish leaving the ocean, yet he’s been lobotomised again and again, which is almost comical. There is so much to him, and yet we see basically none of it. And it suffices. Because he’s trapped in a loop of rebellion and wisdom and forgetting. Until he isn’t. He’s infinity reduced to a singular point and that’s breaking my mind.

My favorite part of Transformers lore is that Starscream is immortal for literally no reason. Like if you're going to choose the funniest character to be undying of course it's going to be the backstabbing egotistical wet blanket.

Hikaru just does despair really well as a story. It starts at the end. You had your chance, you fucked it, it’s over. There’s no happy ending imaginable. The regret is a literal horror that haunts you. What reason could you possibly have to go on? What is the best outcome that still exists in the world? Is there any choice at all between taking the worst loss in your life or overwriting it so completely that the thing lost is no longer anything and therefore unlost? What motivation do you even have to choose?

I always try hard to like the “rival love interest” of a love triangle even if I don’t ship them with the MC, so that for rival love interests that I absolutely hate, people’s argument falls flatter of me hating them only for “shipping reasons” and not because I think their existence/romantic interest is utterly pointless 😭Cause then, you can’t accuse me of hating them just cause they get in the way of my ship because the list of hateable rival love interests is very small yet they still somehow made it on there so congrats to them for being insufferable
